Electrical Engineer
We have an immediate need to add a valued member to our research and development team at Modularity Space working on the next generation of sustainable satellite systems in collaboration with NASA.
We are currently seeking a detail oriented, proficient electronic engineer to assist in the design and implementation of state-of-the-art electronics to create critical electrical interfaces and power systems. The ideal candidate will have experience successfully completing complex projects, will be capable of handling a diverse task load, and will be ready to take on new and interesting challenges daily in a fast-paced startup environment. A positive, team-oriented, and proactive attitude is essential.
Job Description
- Design intricate electric components and circuitry for power distribution and data transfer
- Develop custom motion controls for various types of motors and actuators
- Create and implement novel sensor technologies
- Generate schematics and layout medium complexity printed circuit boards and 3D printed components
- Operate as part of a larger design team with aerospace, structural, and mechanical engineers
- Provide accurate estimates of electronic project resource requirements
- Work closely with our management team to ensure projects are performed on time, on budget, and at the highest level of quality
Qualifications
- Experience in high-reliability, preferably aerospace electronic system design
- Experience with designing FPGA and PC104 based systems
- Experience with PCB design and fabrication
- Experience with firmware and embedded development
- Experience with system simulation and modeling (MATLAB or similar)
- Experience with circuitry modeling, design, and implementation
- Desirable: Experience with electrical power systems
