The Leadership Development Program (LDP) at Raytheon Technologies is a cross functional, fast-tracked leadership program focused on early-in-career talent, with proven potential to be leaders – both during and upon graduating from the program.
Participants will be given challenging assignments that will develop functional skills. Participants may have the opportunity to travel throughout the country to attend training sessions that provide not only engineering-specific training but also training across different functions to develop leadership and business acumen. Participants will visit Raytheon Technologies sites during the program and will have exposure to Raytheon Technologies leadership across the enterprise.
Job Description:
The Rotational Engineering Leadership Development Program is an early-in-career rotational program for top engineering students that cycles engineers through three 8-month rotational assignments across our enterprise. The program allows accelerated development opportunities with the goal of growing world class leaders through exposure to cutting edge principles, products, and trends as well as providing the opportunity to work with leaders and develop the skills and competencies needed to help shape the company's future.
Program participants will have the opportunity to receive a holistic view of RTX through cross-business unit rotations to gain technical breadth as roles span various engineering disciplines; you will be able to “see the product lifecycle” with broad exposure to products and technologies. Our commitment to you is to provide front-line, hands-on, business-critical assignments designed to stretch your capabilities and enhance your learning.
In addition to the unique experiences gained through rotation assignments, participants will receive high-caliber training, mentoring and guidance from leading RTX executives, engineering leaders, technical fellows, subject matter experts as well as current participants and alumni to build a strong and lasting global network of colleagues across our technology & global engineering enterprise.
The program is sponsored by the Vice President, Technology & Global Engineering.
The first 8-month rotational assignment associated with this job requisition is with Pratt & Whitney Global Services Engineering (GSE), working on the Digital MRO Program, enabling the Aftermarket portion of the Digital Thread. Projects include:
· Work with shops to develop the infrastructure needed to ingest used part inspection data into a data lake
· Create data analytics that support Engineering and business decision making
· Develop front-end tools to make the raw data and analytics available across P&W
Required Skills:
Selection for the Rotational Engineering Leadership Development Program will be based on the following minimum criteria:
· Willingness to geographically relocate for all rotational assignments during a two-year period and flexibility to travel/live anywhere in the US and possibly abroad
· Strong technical skills with fluency in one or more engineering disciplines
· Energetic and results-driven, thriving in a fast paced and dynamic environment
· Capacity to lead, motivate and influence through effective communications
· Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
· 1 internship/co-op in engineering, hard sciences, or a related discipline
· Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens. Desired Skills:
· Two or more internships/co-ops in engineering, hard sciences, or related disciplines
· One or more technical publications or conference presentations
· Foreign language proficiency
· Courses or work experience in computer programming and/or Data Science

Required Education:
· Graduating with a bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree or PhD in engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, software, systems engineering or related discipline) or hard science (physics, mathematics, chemistry, or computer science) in the current academic year (September 2021 - June 2022)
· A 3.5 GPA or higher in undergraduate studies; a 3.5 GPA or higher in graduate studies, if applicable
