Computer Engineer/Electronics Engineer/Computer Scientist
Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) is recruiting to fill positions in its In-Service Engineering Offices at Naval Air Station Jacksonville FL and Naval Station Mayport FL. The In-Service Engineering Offices at these locations provide lifecycle support for P-8, and H-60 flight and tactical training devices (flight simulators). The lifecycle support functions performed by the In-Service Engineering Offices include software and hardware modifications, configuration management, engineering technical support, cyber security, and acquisition project team support. The purpose of this position is to perform as an electronics/computer engineer/computer scientist in the area of real time simulation. The incumbent will, with guidance, be responsible for: design/development of software/hardware modifications to the training systems, integration of modifications with existing systems, pre- and post- modification systems testing, technical assistance for training device in-service engineering problems, engineering assistance for training device acquisition projects, and on-site liaison with the on-site customers of NAWCTSD. The positions require a Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science Degree. Condition of employment is drug-free. All DON employees may be subject to drug testing under certain circumstances such as reasonable suspicion. Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
