Graduate Development Associate, Aviation Maintenance Supervisor

Position Overview

Our 5-year graduate training program includes development in key, hands-on maintenance skill groups, such as Interiors, Structures and A&P, in addition to Mechanic Lead shadowing prior to progressing to a mid-level maintenance leadership role. 

The 5 – year rotation 

  • 2 years of development with multiple rotations
    • Months 1 to 7 – Interiors
    • Months 8-14 – Structures
    • Months 15-21 – A&P
    • Months 22-24 – Shadow a Lead Mechanic
  • Beginning at year 3 aim to be fully in a Supervisor role and qualify for Manager level role at the 5-year mark.

 

The Graduate Development Associate is assigned to the HAECO Group Graduate Trainee Program, which aims to develop talented graduates with an Aviation Maintenance degree and A&P license into our future leaders. It provides associates with Fast-track career development at HAECO group. 

 

Essential Job Duties once in Supervisor Role at Year 3:

  • Supervise and direct activities of all personnel assigned assuring all maintenance is completed in compliance with established company policies, procedures, and applicable FAA regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring work is performed within HAECO Americas safety guidelines.
  • Assist Manager to coordinate with all support groups to ensure they are supporting the aircraft schedule including checking the status of certain jobs with the support shop. Gain valuable experience while going through job rotations across regions and functions.
  • Supervise assigned employees by prioritizing and assigning work with the assistance of Lead Mechanics, ensuring that milestones and deliveries are met.

 

Secondary Duties: 

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

 

Accountabilities:

Accountable to the assigned Project Manager, depending on rotation.

 

Job Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree majoring in any discipline with good academic results.
  • A & P Certification

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds, climb stairs, bend, and stoop as necessary.
  • Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.
  • Normal office environment where approximately 70% of work is performed in a sitting position.
  • Frequent exposure to the outside hangar areas for meetings and employee relations functions for varying lengths of time.
  • Occasional outside local and out of town travel is required, involving driving and/or flying (10%).
